Our practice is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join the dedicated team of Pain Management Specialists as we continue to expand. Currently, we have four Physicians and two Physician Assistants on staff, as well as a Ortho Spine Surgeon. We are a large practice with a high volume of patients and are looking for a professional who is passionate about providing quality healthcare, ready for a fast paced work environment and committed to helping our practice grow.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Treating and managing new/ existing chronic pain patients with specific treatment plans
Establishing positive rapport with patients and encouraging healthy habits depending on current health status
Perform in depth physical examinations and wound checks, administer in-office injections under ultrasound, remove post-op sutures and staples as needed.
Prepare, modify, update and maintain patient records via EHR/EMR program
Evaluate and order interventional procedures based on patient need
Appropriately prescribe and refill medications as needed
Provide referrals to other medical specialists as needed
Assist Physicians as needed
Provide answers/ recommendations to questions recorded in EMR (from patients, medical professionals, insurances, etc)
Job Requirements Include:
Unrestricted Physician Assistant license (Required)
2+ years’ experience as a Physician Assistant
Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
Confidence to work independently but also as a part of a team
Willingness to be a leader / mentor to staff members
Available for on-call after hours once a month |
