JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients, performing such functions as making rounds, physical examinations, and other patient examinations, injections, care of wounds, arranging for patient referrals.

Penn State Hershey Department of Orthopaedics is hiring an APC (PA or CRNP) to work in a new clinic location in Rohrerstown, Lancaster County, PA (Lime Spring clinic at 2221 Noll Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603). In addition to the duties mentioned above, the position will work with orthopaedic surgeons, in the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal medical conditions; ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies; reduction of fractures and dislocations, splinting, casting, and injections; reading and interpreting imaging studies and laboratory reports.
Previous experience in an orthopaedic outpatient setting, preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple task and demands. Ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, providers and patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.

National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

Relevant experience preferred.
