A busy orthopedic practice located in Orange, CA has an immediate need for a full-time Physician Assistant. This PA would be working with a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon. This PA would split their time rounding, seeing patients in the clinic, as well as first assisting in the OR. Experienced candidates and new graduates are welcome to apply. Practice offers excellent compensation.
Position Accountabilities:
 Provide direct clinical services for a fellowship Trained Spine Surgeon.
 Serves as First Assist and works one on one with the Spine Surgeon.
 Communicates to attending physician progress reports on patients
 Demonstrate critical thinking and performance ability in patient care in an efficient and effective manner
 Perform consistently and according to the standards of his/her profession
 Effectively delegate appropriate duties to supporting staff
 Function as a part of a multidisciplinary team in presenting assessment results and developing treatment plans
 Obtain and record medical/social history through interview/review of patients’ case record; prepare findings, diagnostic impressions, diagnosis and recommendations
 Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Desired Qualifications:
 Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate Degree—Physician Assistant
 Current California Physician Assistant License
 Current D.E.A
 Current ACLS/BLS certificate
Skills:
 Full command (written and verbal) of the English language
 Strong organizational skills
 EMR knowledge
 Manual dexterity and visual interpretation
 Time management
Urgent Care Experience
Working Conditions:
Employee must be able to function in a fast pace environment and adapt to change quickly. Employee must be flexible in work hours to provide coverage for hospital rounding and calls.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience long periods of standing, walking, use of hands and fingers. The employee may be required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend. The employee may be required to sit as well.
