Commonwealth Radiology Associates is the largest private practice radiology group in Massachusetts. Currently serving two hospital systems, 4 hospital campuses. The Interventional Radiology division of the group is very active and performs state-of-the-art minimally invasive procedures at all sites. There are 9 board-certified IRs in the group, all with CAQs in vascular and interventional radiology.
We are looking for a PA to join our team of IRs at Lowell General Hospital in The Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts. Founded in 1891, Lowell General Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital serving the Greater Lowell area and surrounding communities. With two primary campuses located in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lowell General Hospital offers the latest state-of-the-art technology and a full range of medical and surgical services for patients, from newborns to seniors. It has 434 beds and is designated Level 3 trauma center. Close to Boston and beautiful coastal New Hampshire and Maine.
We are looking for a team player who enjoys patient contact and performing procedures. IR physicians all had fellow-ship training and enjoy teaching.
Responsibilities
Patient Rounding
Communication with referring physicians, physician offices, nurses, etc.
Procedures to include some / all of the following*:
Vascular access
Joint injections
Paracentesis
Thoracentesis
Chest tubes
Chest ports
* IR physicians excited to teach procedures

Requirements
Requirements:
* Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program
* Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
* Licensed as a physician assistant in Massachusetts
* BLS is requireand ACLS certification |
