Physician Assistant Gastroenterology

The brand new, state-of-the-art, 192-bed MaineGeneral Medical Center at the Alfond Center for Health offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for the surrounding communities. We?re located just an hour north of Portland, Maine?s largest city, and three hours from Boston. This is a 40-hour position for a physician assistant. GI experience preferred but not essential. It would be an outpatient position in the Waterville office. Currently 3 gastroenterologists, two nurse practitioners and a physician's assistant practice in this office. The office is part of a larger group of 5 gastroenterologists, 2 nurse practitioners and 3 physician assistants with sites in Augusta and Waterville. Four 10-hour days acceptable. The candidate would see a large range of gastroenterology and liver disease problems with both initial consultations and follow-up visits. No inpatient responsibilities or call. They would work with the full support of the gastroenterologists and advance practice providers already in the office.
