Arizona Center for Hand to Shoulder Surgery was formed in 2000 and has grown from two doctors to nine. Our Providers are plastic, orthopedic and hand fellowship trained. We are a busy Specialty Trauma and Elective group practice in need of Surgical Physician’s Assistants. Responsibilities of the Surgical PA include hospital inpatient and emergency room consults, hospital rounds, and assist with in and out-patient surgery.

Additional responsibilities include clinical encounters with patients pre and post operatively, completion of orders for therapy, outside diagnostic procedures and completion of surgical packets for outpatient surgery.

Additional requirements include a professional attitude and willingness to work with others as a team. This position requires flexibility and adaptability as required by the variation in patient and emergent case load. Splinting and casting experience a plus. The ideal candidate for the Surgical PA position will have a minimum 2 year experience as a Physician Assistant with preference given to those with emergency room ,surgical or orthopaedic experience. However, consideration will be given to the right candidate with less experience. No prior hand or upper extremity experience required.
