Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, graduation from an accredited school of Physician Assistants, licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant. One year of experience in a Cardiology office. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional years of experience working in a Cardiology office.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physician and perform medical examinations, make diagnoses, dispense medication, order standard laboratory and x-ray procedures, evaluate procedure results and refer abnormal findings to a physician.
• Pre-procedure workups including history and physical, ordering relevant tests and coordinating services needed on procedure day and post procedure care
• Device clinic (monitor patients with implanted heart devices, ie, pacemakers/internal cardio defibrillators)
• Inpatient rounds - seeing patients for arrhythmia consults
Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.
