The Physician Assistant will be responsible for:

Performing pre-ops, post-op checks, inpatient consultations, discharge summaries , coordination of care, ED consults and care, and evaluation of urgent orthopedic clinic patients.

Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages in Orthopedics.

History taking, pre- and post-op assessments and urgent evaluation of children with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.

Daytime ER consults including admissions, casting and closed reductions.

Inpatient care, including discharge planning and facilitating post-op follow ups.

To qualify, you must have:

A Master’s from a Physician Assistant.

Ability to work in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, mid level providers and ambulatory staff is essential.

A strong desire to work in the pediatric orthopedic setting.

Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.

Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.

A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.

Schedule will include rotation into evening clinic at Waltham Satellite location and weekend coverage in Boston and/or Waltham. No night call.
