The Physician Extender is responsible for managing the patients assigned to Vascular Interventional service.
Position Summary:
Equal Hospital and Clinic Coverage with other physician extender
In-patient Consults
Procedure H&P
Round on patients post procedures
Schedule all follow-up care post procedure
See follow-up patients in the clinic for continuation of care
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience/Skills
• 3-5-year experience preferred with Vascular Interventional experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff, and other healthcare providers
• Behaviors which reflect understanding, emotional stability, patience, tact and consideration for individual differences.
Licensure/Certification
• Current licensure in the State of Georgia
• BLS and ACLS
• Comply with Georgia’s Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges
