Position description Caring for 1,600 patients per year, the Springfield Hospital Emergency Department is a Critical Access Hospital. NP PAs provide sole 24/7 practice coverage in 12 hour shifts. The NP PA serves as an independent provider, collaborates with offsite physician and works with a variety of other healthcare professionals. The NP PA will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents, and patient education. The NP PA will also perform a variety of procedures including laceration repair, I&D, and lumbar puncture, etc. Our practice is unique in that we start with an onboarding process that assesses your skillset in order to provide the proper training that’s tailored specifically to you. Initial orientation will be in Mankato as this is the main training/orientation site for Mayo Clinic’s EMs NP PAs within the region. Mayo Clinic values the skills and expertise of the NP/PA in Emergency Medicine and our goal is for you able to practice safely and confidently as a solely provider within our critical access hospitals. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP

OR

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

BLS and ACLS certification required and an unrestricted prescriptive authority in Minnesota, (Minnesota Board of Medical Examiners and DEA). (CALS and PALS) or ATLS certifications are preferred by the time of starting the position. Emergency Medicine Fellowship, or 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience is preferred, but not required.

Compensation Detail Experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4,134.40 on a full-time position.
