St. Elizabeth Business Health Services offers a full continuum of cost-effective occupational health services. One of our services is to provide on-site Occupational Health to business clients. The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) provides care and treatment to patients under the auspices of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement. Responsibility includes patient assessment, initiation, and evaluation of diagnostic testing, documentation of physical findings, and formulation of treatment plan and prognosis based on patient’s medical condition. In accordance with established collaborative practice agreement and evidence-based guidelines, the APRN obtains health histories, performs physical examinations, identifies problems, establishes goals, and formulates comprehensive plans of care for patients and teaches preventive health measures. Functions as a facilitator to coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families, and support collaboration between various disciplines and agencies as necessary.

The schedule for this opportunity is the following:

Friday: 7-3:30p

Saturday: 7-3:30p

Sunday: 6p-2a

Education, Credentials and Licenses:

•Master’s degree in nursing with National Nurse Practitioner Certification in appropriate specialty area. (Nurse Practitioner by a national certifying organization recognized by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (including the following areas: Acute Care, Adult, Adult Psych Mental Health, Child/Adolescent Psych Mental Health, Community Health, Critical Care, Family, Family Psych Mental Health, Gerontological, Medical/Surgery, Neonatal, Oncology, Pediatric, School, and/or Women’s Health)

•Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

•Licensed as an RN in the state of Kentucky

•Must have medical staff privileges as an allied health professional

•Occupational Health experience preferred

•Comfort with suturing
