PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing care for patients in a Primary Care setting.

• Responsible for on-call coverage evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.

• Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Masters’ Degree in Nursing required. Satisfactory completion of an approved formal education program which has as its objective the preparation of professional nurses to practice as nurse practitioner. Completion of a Master’s or post Masters’ degree in adult or family NP program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

• Experience: Extensive experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting; with 3-5 years experience in primary care preferred. The NP must also have experience completing history and physical assessments. Experience with substance use disorder desired.

• Other: ANA or other appropriate nursing certification in area of practice and authorization by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in the expanded role. DEA for prescription writing
