As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
Provide comprehensive care to adults in an Orthopedic surgical subspecialty specializing in joint replacements.
First Assist in the OR.
Assist with the following procedures: joint injection and aspiration, administration of local infiltrative anesthesia/hematoma block, suture and staple placement or removal, drain placement and removal, percutaneous pin or external fixator removal, wound care and/or debridement, cast, splint or brace (orthopedic appliance) application and removal, interpretation of radiographic studies prior to reading by the responsible physician or radiologist, closed joint reduction, and closed fracture reduction and fluoroscopic examination.
Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.
Education:
Minimum –
If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
Preferred – Master’s degree or higher.

Work Experience:
Minimum - Two years of relevant clinical experience.
Preferred – Five years of relevant clinical experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN, RN First Assist, and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP. These include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Family.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).

Physical Requirements:
Heavy: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Monday – Friday in between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00 pm. Minimal Weekend or Holiday coverage. No Call.
