Position Description:
Assists with patient care needs, to include transport of patients, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and members of the health care team.
Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
Assists with patient care needs, to include transport of patients, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and members of the health care team
Assists as a member of the surgical team in patient positioning, supply readiness and location
Individualizes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op planning and preparation to meet the needs of each patient
Provides terminal cleaning and between case preparation and understands technical requirements of cases and required room arrangements
Facilitates smooth and efficient transitions between surgical procedures
Maintains clean, safe environment and adheres to aseptic principles
Participates in lean 5s activities
Participates in other routine duties as needed
Required Registration, Licensure or Certification:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
Preferred Registration, Licensure or Certification:
Completion of a nurse assistant training program (CNA)
Preferred Education or Experience:
One year of college or currently enrolled in a college degree program
Basic personal computer skills:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of medical supplies, equipment and terminology |
