Job Description:
The Specialty Nurse Practitioner evaluates plans and provides care for patients in consultation with and under direct supervision of attending Physician. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner performs clinical procedures under direction of attending Physician and according to approved protocols. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner initiates and changes order for tests and patient care based on condition of patient and approval of Physician. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner develops and maintains active practice in facilities. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner compiles medical history information and other relevant data from patient and family while updating medical record. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner evaluates patient condition and medical needs while developing plan of care to be approved by attending Physician. The Specialty Nurse Practitioner initiates or change patient care orders under circumstance of change in condition under Physician orders.

The ideal candidate for The Specialty Nurse Practitioner maintains effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; provides patient care in a competent, professional and courteous manner; and keeps abreast of current research and incorporates relevant findings into specific areas of clinical practice.
