Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Clinical Education (Director III) organizes, plans and directs the Clinical Training of Physician Assistant students at Kean University and at clinical sites off-campus. This is a 12-month position for a program that teaches entry-level physician assistant students and supervises clinical education during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Responsibilities include managing program operations related to the education and preparation of Physician Assistant students; developing, implementing and assessing goals, clinical practices, policies and procedures; facilitating quality learning experiences for students during clinical education; and performing related work as required. The Director may be required to teach two in-load courses each semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities. This position requires travel to clinical sites off-campus.

Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; current NCCPA certification with eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey; a minimum of three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant; and ability to travel throughout NJ and surrounding areas required. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with a graduate degree in a related or complimentary field will also be considered. Prior experience as a Director of Clinical Education or equivalent role is preferred. Candidate must have related experience in physician assistant education in either the clinical setting or classroom.
