Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

A private practice in Fort Wayne is seeking a Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. The practice includes five highly trained neurosurgeons and uses the most advanced treatments available. Be part of a supportive team environment that continues to grow.

Works independently, but under the supervision and in close cooperation with the physician to managing the care and treatment of patients as indicated in the professional scope of practice and within current standards and protocols.
• Provider to independently run a post-op/follow up clinic 2 days a week.
• Hospital rounding responsibilities
• First assist in the OR 3 days a week
• Call responsibilities (Every 5th Saturday and one weekday per week)
• Assist with managing operative schedule
• Responsible for submitting charges from rounds, operations and consults

Education/Experience: Completion of an accredited PA/NP program. Require NP or PA certification and current Indiana license issued by State Board of Health as well as prescriptive licenses. Prefer prior neurosurgical experience.
