Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a full time Physician Assistant Hospitalist/Nocturnist for Danbury and New Milford Hospitals in Danbury and New Milford, CT for variable overnight shifts between 8 pm and 8 am including weekends. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in a busy hospital in a family friendly location 70 miles from NYC.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital is part of Western Connecticut Health Network, which also includes New Milford and Norwalk Hospitals as well as over 70 outpatient practice locations. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine and St. George's University School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 400+ physicians and 140+ advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

New Milford Hospital is an 85-bed community hospital, serving the residents of the greater Litchfield County area in CT for almost 100 years. Our Emergency Department, newly renovated in 2015, is an 11,000-square-foot, sustainable and "green" space, equipped with all private patient rooms, specialty care areas and an expanded triage desk.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a physician, provides primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school
• CT State PA license.
• National commission on the certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• DEA/State of CT controlled substance.
• Preferred: Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and PA licensure by the State of Connecticut. ACLS & BLS certification.
• Must maintain 100 CME's over two years.
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
• New Grads welcome, Hospitalist PA experience preferred.
• Able to work variable shifts from 8 pm – 8 am including some weekends.
